RFC 578 Using MIT - MATHLAB MACSYMA
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper describes an experiment in non-trivial automated resource sharing between dissimilar systems. The goal of the experiment was to interface the MUDDLE system at MIT-DMS (Host 70.) to the MACSYMA system at MIT-Mathlab (Host 198.), in such a manner that the MUDDLEuser at MIT-DMS is not required to know anything about the ARPANET, Mathlab, or even MACSYMA. In fact, the user need not be aware that part of the computation is performed by MACSYMA on the Mathlab computer.

متن کاملMIT-MATHLAB meets UCSB-OLS -an example of resource sharing
Non-trivial resource sharing among dissimilar system is a much discussed concept which, to date, has seen only a few real applications. [See NIC 13538, "1972 Summary of Research Activities (UTAH) for description of Tony Hearn’s TENEX-CCN Programming Link.] The first attempts have utilized the most easily accessible communication paths, (TELNET and RJS) and the most universal representations of ...

The simplest way for him...
متن کاملReliability Analysis of on - Line Cxmr Systems with a Spare Processor Using ( Iuter - Aided Algebraic Manipulation
This paper discusses the reliability of operation of an on-line computer system with a spare processor., described by a semi-Markov process model. Analytical solutions are obtained by using computer-aided algebraic manipulation techniques. The main purpose of the paper is to demonstrate that the difficulties of obtaining analytic solutions to Markov processes by standard techniques can be consi...
